    For me...

I arrive at a concept purely intuitively. Through meditation, spontaneous ideation upon awakening, or rational thought. Then I use rational thought if I hadn't already to plow through the physical aspects. This can only take you so far.

At this point, you have to stop trying to break it down, work it out, and instead rely on the power of insight to finish the job for you. Insight is gained through meditation, where a point is presented to you and then you must grasp the point intently and you do not let go. Follow it to it's source, or to a branching out. Surrender to insight and let it guide you. Watch your mind intently like a snake watching it's prey, and leap out and snatch the mouse into your mouth the instant it leaves it's hole.

I need to take to you man. Volo is completely correct here. Meditation is the key to many things and most ignore it all. There is no breaking anything down, reality is created by yourself. There is alot of insight gained through meditiation. But you have to be willing to accept the points that are given to you in your journey. In the infancy of your own mind all your answers are there. Ride that snake as a wake through the oceans of time and answers will appear. Open your minds and see. Take off the masks and realize it ALL

The answers are still within the mind. Meditation can you way beyond your mind. Who cares about answers if clarity is right around the corner? hhaaaaa

clarity comes from the meditation, and yes the answers are always within. It only matters if you wish it to matter, but that is up the each individuals choice, but then again if you look deep,,, we are all one ! What you do to yourself, you do to another regarless if you know it or not.

When I find my truths I realize and feel that it is true. Then even though my intuition says that it is true I experament with it to see how it affects my life. Then through experamentation it becomes part of me and the way I live. For instance I realize that my entire life was of my creation. lol there was a lot of experamentation that went along with it but I know its true not only through divine realzation but because I have experienced its truth in physical reality.

to test your truths to make sure they are really true, you must test and challenge them; the question is the answer.

question your presumptions and beliefs, your intentions and expectations. you'll find they'll change or grow or pass on. whenever a personal truth becomes an unquestioned dogma, there's great danger (look around you for an abundance of evidence).

the only true dogma is that there are no true dogmas.

    is truth not a question?

Very interesting question. Here is the simple answer.

Truth is absolute, reality is relative and conditioned. A moon reflected in 5 pots of water. There is one moon illumining the earth, is the truth not conditioned by time, place or a context. I see 5 moons is a reality. In otherwords this is what is perceived.

Anything said on this plane is only a reality which has a context. They are called subjective or relative truths. This is used very well in relationships. Anything contextual is not a Truth. No, I am not splitting hairs here but thats the way it is on this plane. Somebody asked me "what work do you do?". I say, "Ow.....Computers" or I could say "I write Software". The questioner perceives me as a hot shot engineer at Microsoft or Sun where as I might just be writing software to amuse myself. Still, I didnt lie. Nor he asked me "What do you do for a living".

That is the very essence of creation. Relativity. It is somebody hinting to us....'Hey Dont take life so seriously.......none have got out of it alive' or the famous Lenon song 'Life is something that happens when your busy making other plans'. Meditation only gives you insight into this concept and cuts out the limited fauculty of human reason (to dig into the truth).

Now Truth is a much higher level a concept. The lower we go the more it changes. Dont you think? Court room is a classic example of this. isnt it?

I love the words 'really true?'

OM JAI KINDRED SPIRIT OF ETERNAL TRUTH

IN TRUTH OF HEART EQUAL TO THE TAO WE LIVE
      TRUTH IS THE VASTNESS OF ETERNITY AND ALL THAT MAKES FOR ONENESS;
IT IS THE REALITY OF BEYOND THE ILLUSION OF SEPARATION OF YIN/YANG BALANCE.

      TRUTH IS US, NOT DEFINED
BY THE LIMITATION OF THE COSTUME
OF NAME AND FORM WE WEAR,
      LIVING ETERNAL TRUTH,
FULLY AWARE OF WHO WE ARE,
      WHY WE ARE HERE,
      AND WHERE WE ARE GOING.

      TRUTH IS ALL ACTIONS THAT KEEPS US REAL IN THE EVER PRESENT NOW;
IT IS ALL ACTIONS THAT KEEPS REALLY TRUE TO WHO WE REALLY ARE.

AS WATER MAYBE KNOWN BY MANY DIFFERENT NAMES
LIKE: AGUA, AQUA, PANI, JAL, TUBIK, WATER AND SO ON
YET THE CHEMICAL ESSENCE OF H2O REMAINS THE SAME UNCHANGED.
SO IT IS WITH THE ETERNAL TRUTH,
SAGES AND SAINTS IN DIFFERENT TIMES,
MAY CALL TRUTH BY MANY DIFFERENT NAMES,
YET THE ESSENCE OF ETERNAL TRUTH
REMAINS THE SAME, UNCHANGED, AND ABSOLUTE.

BEAUTIFULLY SAID ARUN:"Meditation only gives you insight into this concept and cuts out the limited faculty of human reason (to dig into the truth)."

YES... QUIETING THE MONKEYMIND WITH OUR HUMAN EYES CLOSE,
NOT LISTENING TO THE VOICE OF FEAR DISGUISED AS REASON,
ONE'S VISION DOES GET BETTER AND THE REAL TRUTH IS MORE CLEAR
AS WE VIEW OUR REALITY THROUGH THE SINGULAR MIND'S EYE OF THE HEART.

HOW DOES VIVEKA TEST HIS TRUTHS
TO MAKE SURE THEY ARE REALLY TRUE? HUMMMM

BY USING THE ABILITY OF VIVEKA (THE WISDOM TO KNOW WHAT IS REAL AND UNREAL)
I ASK MYSELF: DOES THE REALTY I AM LIVING MAKE FOR ONENESS
IF IT DOES MAKE FOR ONENESS I AM IN TRUTH,
IF IT DOES NOT MAKE FOR ONENESS I AM NOT IN TRUTH.
